Queens B'Day Weekend

Well, what a massive weekend. Had a whole 4 days of crushing, which was great. Friday was spent up at Legoland with the Raven. We had a play on Orca, such an amazing line. Should be up for it after the surf trip. Can't wait. On Saturday we had a massive day at Andersons. Joing myself and the Raven were, Josh, Omar, Big Al, Phil and Adrian. Ran into a few other randoms as well. Had a fantastic day, crushed for hours and even managed a bit of trundling. word. Raven and I smashed in Mexican Delight V9, Gasoline V8 and a load of other problems that we had never done before. Andersons, the area that keeps giving. Phil even managed a first ascent, sweet line too... Sunday saw the Raven, Ross and I head down south for a day of FAs, after a rather late start, thanks to the Raven's charitable nature??? This secret area was a blast and contains a host of massive boulders awaiting plundering. We managed to put up Breaking Bad V8, Rosco's Vision V5/6, Innate Twatism V7 and the awesome and terror inspiring Thunder Road V5. Finally, Monday saw another new crag invaded by the hordes. We repeated a bunch of classics and then set about putting up a few of our own. I wandered around looking for new lines and found some amazing aretes and some massive slabs too. I got back to the first boulder to find Big Al and Raven hard at work on a couple of sweet new projects. The resulting problems were instant classics. Village of the Damned V9 and Valley of the Wads, which weighs in at a hefty V10/11, not sure as it was 4th day on, but it felt pretty hard... We'll see. Anyways, it was an amazing weekend, spent with great people at some memorable crags. There was a heap of fun had, particularly in the evenings around the foozeball table at my place in Ararat. There was at least 8 people in residence every night, which made for a perfect weekend. thanks all for a fun time, catch ya again soon.
